Step 4: Logging into your course :
- You will need to be logged into my.msjc.edu
to access your online course. Once logged in, click on the
Courses tab. In the Courses tab, select the course you would
like to enter. After you log into My MSJC, you will see a list of all of the courses in which you are enrolled.
- Checking into Class: Your
fully online course will open for check-in five days prior to the
beginning of the course You MUST check into your course by
logging in and following the instructions you will find in your course
announcements page. (See log in instructions at the link in step 4
below). Typically, this involves posting an introductory message
on the Initial Check in Discussion Board. You have from five days
before until two days after the class starts to check in. If you do not
check in by the second day of class, the instructor may drop you from
the course.
- Wait Lists and Adding Courses: Should the online course for which you wish to register be
closed due to full enrollment, you can join a waitlist for that course
at the time of registration. Should a seat in a
class section open up seven or more days prior to the start of the
class, the highest student on the waitlist will be automatically
enrolled into the class. The student will then be notified by MSJC
email and by an automated phone call that they have been registered
into a class for which they were previously waitlisted. (NOTE:
Make sure you check your MSJC email frequently and have a
valid phone number on record for important school related
information.)
You will need to pay registration fees within four days to maintain
your awarded seat or you will be dropped for non-payment. If a seat
opens seven or less days prior to the start of class, no automated
registration from waitlist will occur. The instuctor has the discretion
to add students from the waitlist using late add codes during that time
period. You will be notified by the instructor, then, if you have been
added to the course.
